OXFORD, Ohio— Miami University soccer coach Courtney Sirmans announced the RedHawks' 2023 schedule today. The RedHawks welcome Louisville to Bobby Kramig Field for an exhibition on Sunday afternoon, August 6 before kicking off the regular season at Ohio State on Aug. 17.
Miami's non-conference slate includes home games against Indiana State (Aug. 20), UIC (Aug. 27), Southern Indiana (Aug. 31), and Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 10). After the opener at OSU, the RedHawks will travel to Northern Kentucky (Aug. 24), Marshall (Sept. 7) and Montana (Sept. 14) before conference play begins.
The Red and White will face 11 assignments in Mid-American Conference play, five in Oxford and six on the road. The MAC slate starts at Ball State (Sept. 21), with the first home conference game coming against Central Michigan (Sept. 24).
After a trip to Buffalo (Sept. 28), Miami will host games against Kent State (Oct. 1) and Bowling Green (Oct. 5) to begin the month of October. The next week brings trips to Northern Illinois (Oct. 8) and Western Michigan (Oct. 12) before Miami returns home to take on Toledo (Oct. 15)
Miami's final regular-season home game will be against rival Ohio on Oct. 19, followed by games at Akron (Oct. 22) and Eastern Michigan (Oct. 26). The Mid-American Conference tournament is set to begin on Oct. 29, with the semifinals Nov. 2 and the final on Nov. 5.
Of the RedHawks' nine regular-season home games this fall, five will feature 1 p.m. start times and four will kick off under newly-installed lights, including Miami's home opener (ISU at 6 p.m., Southern Indiana at 7 p.m., Bowling Green at 7 p.m. and Ohio at 6:30 p.m.).
"We are so happy with the most recent updates to Bobby Kramig Field," Sirmans said. "To be able to host night games in Oxford is a game changer for our team and the future of the Miami soccer program."
