Miami Hockey Announces 2023-24 Schedule

OXFORD, Ohio-- Miami Hockey unveiled its 2023-24 season schedule today. The RedHawks' 34-game slate is equally split between 17 home games and 17 away games, including a home-and-home series with Mercyhurst on Thanksgiving weekend.

The non-conference portion of the schedule also includes home series against Canisius and Arizona State, with road dates at Ferris State and Niagara on tap.

The RedHawks' NCHC schedule features visits from every league foe except Denver, while Miami will travel to every conference school but Omaha.

Miami begins the campaign at Ferris State Oct. 7-8 before returning to Steve "Coach" Cady Arena for the home-opening series against Canisius Oct. 13-14. After a week off, Miami welcomes in the Sun Devils of Arizona State (Oct. 27-28) for the teams' first-ever meeting.

League play gets underway in November, starting with a trip to 2023 Frozen Faceoff champion St. Cloud State Nov. 3-4. Miami hosts Colorado College Nov. 10-11, and travels to North Dakota Nov. 17-18. The non-conference home tilt with Mercyhurst is set for Friday, Nov. 24, with the rematch on Sunday the 26th in Erie, Pa.

The December portion of the schedule includes one home series (Minnesota Duluth on Dec. 8-9) and one road series (at Niagara Dec. 29-30).

January 12-13 kicks off five straight weekends of NCHC games, as Western Michigan comes to Oxford for the RedHawks' first 2024 competition. Miami heads out for back-to-back series at Colorado College (Jan. 19-20) and Minnesota Duluth (Jan. 26-27) to conclude the month.

February starts with two consecutive home series, as the Fighting Hawks of North Dakota visit Feb. 2-3 and the St. Cloud State Huskies arrive the following weekend (Feb. 9-10). Miami will get a week off before traveling to 2023 Penrose Cup winner Denver Feb. 23-24.

In March, Miami's final regular-season home series comes against Omaha March 1-2, with the last series of the year coming March 8-9 in Kalamazoo, Mich. vs. Western Michigan. The RedHawks will play in the conference quarterfinals March 15-17 for the right to advance to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff March 22-23 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. The 2024 NCAA Tournament includes Regionals the weekend of March 28-31 and the Frozen Four in St. Paul on April 11 and 13.
