OXFORD, Ohio – The RedHawks continued down a bumpy road, dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday evening against the University of Toledo, going down 2-0. This brings the Miami University softball team to 14-13 on the season and 2-5 in Mid-American Conference action. The win moves Toledo to 11-13 on the season and 4-2 in the MAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the top of the second the Rockets put the first runs on the board, scoring one on an error and one on a sac groundout to take the 2-0 lead.
- Despite a bases loaded, two-out chance in the bottom of the sixth inning, the RedHawks would not capitalize on it.
- Through the next five innings not a single run would score.
- Toledo took the game with the early lead and won 2-0.
