RedHawks Travel to No. 5 St. Cloud State

Miami continues NCHC play with a visit to No. 5/5 St. Cloud State this weekend. The RedHawks (7-17-2, 2-13-1 NCHC) are coming off a pair of home losses to (RV) North Dakota. Miami is seeking its first victory since Dec. 30 vs. Niagara. The Huskies (18-8-0, 10-6-0 NCHC), fell from No. 1 in last week's poll after dropping two games at Minnesota Duluth.

SCSU leads the all-time series 30-19-4 and has won 14 of the last 16 meetings. The teams split a pair of games in Oxford in December, with Miami earning a 5-0 victory in the series finale. The RedHawks will be looking for their first regular-season win in St. Cloud since November 8, 2013.

Matthew Barbolini (9-11-20) leads the RedHawks in both goals and assists this season. John Waldron has eight goals and Joe Cassetti has seven for Miami. Goaltender Ludvig Persson is 7-14-2 this year with an .885 save percentage and 3.70 GAA.

Puck drop is set for 8:30 p.m. ET Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday. Both games from St. Cloud, Minn. will be broadcast on NCHC.tv. Radio coverage with Greg Waddell is set for WKBV 1490 AM (Richmond, Ind.) both nights.

Head coach Chris Bergeron and senior captain Jack Clement spoke with the media this week to preview the matchup against the Huskies.
