OXFORD, Ohio – Núria Jurjo, Jadyn Scott and Amber Tretter combined to score 42 points, but it wasn't enough as the Miami University women's basketball team (1-6) dropped a 73-60 decision to the Dayton Flyers on Saturday afternoon. Anyssa Jones led the Flyers (5-5) with 14 points.

How it Happened:
- Miami trailed 8-6 after Cori Lard's jumper with 6:38 left in the first, but the Flyers answered with a 6-0 run and led 14-6 with two minutes to play in the opening quarter. A triple from Jurjo capped a Miami 7-2 run to close the quarter to shrink the deficit, 16-13.
- Dayton opened up a 26-15 advantage with a 10-2 run to begin the second quarter. Tretter's first career three pointer made it 26-18 with 7:34 left in the half. UD led 36-25 at the half.
- The Flyers led 41-31 three minutes into the second half before Jadyn Scott and Lard scored eight straight for Miami to make it 43-39 at the media timeout. Dayton doubled its lead, 53-45, before a triple from Jurjo made it 53-48 with 90 seconds left in the third. Dayton closed the quarter on a 7-0 run and led 60-48.
- UD's Ivy Wolf drilled a pair of triples early in the fourth quarter to spot the Flyers a 16-point lead with eight minutes to play. A bucket from Hennessey Luu-Brown, a triple from Tretter and three free throws from Jada Scott made it 70-60 with 45 seconds to play, but Miami would get no closer.

- Núria Jurjo scored a career-high 14 points. She added five rebounds and made a career best two three pointers.
- Amber Tretter recorded 14 points and matched her career high with four assists.
