RICHMOND, Ky. – Jadyn Scott scored 20 points and Lakresha Edwards added 15, but it wasn't enough as the Miami University women's basketball team (1-5) dropped an 85-55 decision to Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon. The Colonels (8-1) were led by Antwainette Walker's 21 points.

How it Happened:
- Despite nine points from Jadyn Scott in the first quarter, Miami trailed 20-15 after 10 minutes of play.
- A free throw from Núria Jurjo trimmed the deficit to 24-20 two minutes into the second quarter, but an 8-3 EKU run gave the Colonels a 32-23 advantage at the media timeout. EKU led 41-27 at the half.
- EKU opened the second half on an 18-10 run to lead 59-37 midway through the quarter. The Colonels led 68-41 heading to the final stanza.
- Maddy Huhn and Jurjo connected on back-to-back buckets to make it 77-54, but Miami would get no closer.

- Núria Jurjo had a career-best five assists and matched her career-high with nine points.
- Jadyn Scott had her second 20-point game of the season. She added five rebounds.
