GREAT SCOTT: Senior
Jadyn Scott currently leads the team in scoring (13.0) and rebounding (4.3). She has led the team in scoring six times this season, surpassing 20 points twice.
IN WITH THE NEW: Head Coach
Glenn Box and his staff brought in eight new players for the 2023-24 campaign. Joining the RedHawks are four transfers and four freshmen, including one from Spain and two from Canada.
ROAD WARRIORS: Saturday will be Miami's seventh road game of the season and the RedHawks don't return home until Jan. 3 for a Mid-American Conference game against Toledo. Miami will play just one home game the entire month of December.
TRIPLE THREAT TRETTER: Freshman
Amber Tretter posted career bests in points (19), rebounds (13) and assists (6) in Miami's 68-66 win over Oakland last week. In 41 minutes of action, she connected on a career-high nine fields goals and recorded the first double-double of her career.
ABOUT AUSTIN PEAY: Austin Peay is currently 6-7 on the season, which includes a 66-56 loss to Stephen F. Austin back on Dec. 21. Abby Cater is tops on the team with an 11.4 scoring average, while Shamarre Hale is second on the team in scoring (11.2) and first in rebounds (6.1).
SERIES WITH THE GOVERNORS: Miami is 4-0 all-time versus Austin Peay, but these two squads have not squared off since Nov. 11, 2016, a contest Miami won 73-58.

Cori Lard each connected on three pointers in the final 19 seconds of regulation to send the contest to overtime before
Jada Scott's baseline jumper with .7 seconds remaining in overtime helped secure a 68-66 victory for the Miami University women's basketball team versus Oakland last Thursday.
Amber Tretter had a career-best 19 points, 13 rebounds and six assists for the RedHawks, while
Jada Scott scored 12 and
Lakresha Edwards added 11.Â

NEW IMPACT: Miami's newcomers have dominated the box score this season, recording 93% of the points, 94% of the rebounds, 95% of field goals made and 94% of minutes played.Â
RICHASON OUT: Junior
Katey Richason has missed each of the past three games and her return is yet to be determined. She is Miami's top returning scorer (3.9 points/game in 2022-23). After scoring in double-figures just three times in her first two seasons, Richason scored nine points at Vermont, and had her second career double-double (11 pts. and 11 rebs.) in the win over Xavier.Â
SISTER, SISTER: Twin sisters Jadyn and
Jada Scott were four-year letter winners for the Cincinnati Bearcats before joining Miami. The duo combined to play in 194 games in their career at UC. Last season Jadyn was eighth on the team in scoring (3.6), while Jada was 11th (1.8). In their first year with the RedHawks the duo ranks first and fifth for Miami in scoring.
EDWARDS EXPLOSION: After scoring five total points in Miami's first three games, freshman
Lakresha Edwards has combined for 59 points over the past six contests. She had a career-best 15 points at EKU and added 14 points in the win over Xavier. She has made 14 triples over her last six games.
CHASING HISTORY: As mentioned early, freshman
Amber Tretter posted 19 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in the win over Oakland. She was four assists away from becoming just the third RedHawk in program history to record a triple-double. Linda Mallender was a junior for her lone triple-double in 1984 and
Maddi Cluse did the same last year as a sophomore.
