How it Happened:
  • St. Bonaventure started the game with a 5-0 lead before Hunter knocked down a deep three-point field goal. The Bonnies attempted to pull away at 12-4, but a pair of layups and a free throw from Hunter kept Miami within striking distance at 14-9. St. Bonaventure went on a 9-0 run to extend their lead to 23-9 with 12:29 to play in the first half.
  • Kotecki brought some energy to Miami's offense after putting down a three-point field goal and a layup on back-to-back possessions. Hunter made a driving layup to bring Miami back within 10 points at 28-18. The Bonnies ended the first half on an 18-0 run to head into intermission with a 46-18 advantage.
  • Miami opened the second half with a Mekhi Cooper bounce pass to Jaquel Morris for a dunk. The next possession, Morris recorded a layup. With 14:26 to play, Mabrey put in a shot from downtown. Mabrey went on to find his rhythm, adding two more three-point shots and a jump shot at the 9:47 mark to trail 68-39.
  • With under nine minutes to play, Bradley Dean and Mabrey added a couple of shots from behind the arc. Kotecki produced a traditional three-point play after getting fouled on a dunk with 2:36 to play. Despite a hard-fought effort until the end, Miami fell 90-60 to St. Bonaventure.
