Miami Falls to St. Bonaventure, 90-60

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The Miami University men's basketball team dropped to St. Bonaventure 90-60 at the Reilly Center on Saturday afternoon. Darweshi Hunter led the RedHawks (2-3) with 17 points on the day. Ryan Mabrey had 13 points, and Jackson Kotecki added 10 points. Charles Pride led the Bonnies (4-2) with 18 points.

How it Happened:
- St. Bonaventure started the game with a 5-0 lead before Hunter knocked down a deep three-point field goal. The Bonnies attempted to pull away at 12-4, but a pair of layups and a free throw from Hunter kept Miami within striking distance at 14-9. St. Bonaventure went on a 9-0 run to extend their lead to 23-9 with 12:29 to play in the first half.
- Kotecki brought some energy to Miami's offense after putting down a three-point field goal and a layup on back-to-back possessions. Hunter made a driving layup to bring Miami back within 10 points at 28-18. The Bonnies ended the first half on an 18-0 run to head into intermission with a 46-18 advantage.
- Miami opened the second half with a Mekhi Cooper bounce pass to Jaquel Morris for a dunk. The next possession, Morris recorded a layup. With 14:26 to play, Mabrey put in a shot from downtown. Mabrey went on to find his rhythm, adding two more three-point shots and a jump shot at the 9:47 mark to trail 68-39.
- With under nine minutes to play, Bradley Dean and Mabrey added a couple of shots from behind the arc. Kotecki produced a traditional three-point play after getting fouled on a dunk with 2:36 to play. Despite a hard-fought effort until the end, Miami fell 90-60 to St. Bonaventure.
- Hunter had the team-high 17 points.
- The Red and White shot 90 percent from the free-throw line (9-10).
