OXFORD, Ohio— The Miami University volleyball team fell to the Bowling Green Falcons Wednesday night in three sets (25-15, 25-14, 25-13) at the Stroh Center. The RedHawks finish the season 5-25 (1-17 MAC), while the Falcons move to 17-12 (11-7 MAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Trailing 13-2 early, Caroline Cermack and Hayden Hicks sparked a 4-0 run for the RedHawks thanks to a pair of kills. A kill from Gentry Warrick brought the Red and White within five points at 15-10. Miami trailed 21-14 after Brooke Jackson and Maggie McCrary each recorded a point. The Falcons finished the set with a 25-15 victory.
- Bowling Green continued its strong play at the beginning of the second set, claiming a 9-3 advantage. A Chelsea Williams kill kept the RedHawks in reach at 11-6. Warrick and Hicks combined for a block late in the set to bring the score to 22-14. Bowling Green ended the set with a 25-14 win.
- Hicks dished out an assist to Raegan Lantz to put the RedHawks on the board at 3-1 in the third set. The Falcons attempted to stretch their lead at 6-2, but Warrick shrunk the score to 9-5 with a strong kill to the ground. Hicks dished an assist to Williams halfway through the set to keep Miami in the mix at 14-9. Bowling Green finished the set on an 11-4 run to end the match, 25-13.

- Taylor Nomanson put up a team-high 13 digs.
- Hicks led all RedHawks with 19 assists.
- Head coach Carolyn Condit finishes with an all-time record of 682-554 at Miami.
