Weber Shoots 64 to Highlight Miami’s Second Round in Hawaii

WAIKIKI, Hawaii — Miami is tied for 11th place out of 19 teams after day two of University of Hawaii's Kapolei Invitational. Sophomore Michael Weber shot eight below par today, totaling 64 and claiming the second-lowest single round score out of all 114 participants.

The third and final round begins Thursday at 2 p.m. ET. Miami will look to make a push to the top to finish out the fall slate.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Weber's 64 included eight birdies and 10 pars, which boosted him up by more than 50 places individually and helped Miami climb two places on the team leaderboard. He is tied for 16th overall.
- Morgan Blythe shot a 68, or four below par, during round two and is tied for 31st overall. His score included seven birdies.
- Danny Fisher made five birdies during round two, finishing the day at 71, or one below par. He is in 40th as an individual.
- Matthew Mattioli also shot a 71 during round two. His score includes four birdies and 11 pars.
- Cameron Pero finished even on the day with a score of 72. He made 14 pars.
- Brett Podobinski, who competed as an individual, shot three below par, or 69, after making six total birdies, four of which were in a row.
- Miami's team score after two rounds is 556, or 20 under par. The RedHawks improved their team score by eight strokes from day one to day two and are now just five strokes away from the top five and 10 strokes away from the top three.
