RedHawks Run at the MAC Cross Country Championships

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- The RedHawk cross country teams started off their postseason this weekend with the 2023 MAC Cross Country Championships. The men ran in the 8k and finished with 61 points to take third place as a team. The women ran in the 6k with a team score of 203 points to end up finishing in 8th place.

Up next for the RedHawks is the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships on Friday, Nov. 10 in Madison, Wisconsin.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- For the men, Ben Bayless finished in sixth place with a time of 24:26.23. Mhalicki Bronson (24:30.10) and Patrick Wills (24:30.60) finished in ninth and 10th place, respectively. Max Polak finished in 15th place with a time of 24:50.19. Conall McGinness rounded out the top five for the RedHawks coming in 21st place with a time of 24:56.33.
- For the women, Ava Nuttall was the highest placing RedHawk, coming in 13th place with a time of 21:04.53. Julia Rushing finished in 32nd place with a time of 21:44.85. Gianna Labbiento (22:23.04) and Ella Boate (22:31.39) finished in 46th and 56th place. Nora Zubillaga rounded out the top five for the RedHawks, coming in 60th place with a time of 22:34.36.
- Bayless earned First-Team All-MAC honors, while Bronson and Wills received Second-Team recognition.
- Nuttall earned Second-Team All-MAC honors.
