KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Miami soccer team fell on the road to Western Michigan on Thursday evening, 1-0. Miami falls to 4-10-1 (1-6-0 MAC) and Western Michigan improves to 8-3-3 (4-0-3 MAC).Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dominique Popa had a great reactionary save in the 81st minute on a shot from Jen Blitchok just before the six-yard box.Â
- Abby Werthman scored the only goal in the 84th minute on a free kick on the edge of the 18-yard box.
NOTES
- Popa had six saves.
- Miami had seven players play the full 90 minutes.Â
- Miami had four corners to Western Michigan's six.Â
