Miami Finishes Sixth at Boilermaker Invite

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Miami finished in sixth place out of 15 programs at the Boilermaker Invitational hosted at Ackerman- Allen Golf Course by Purdue University. Danny Fisher was Miami's top finisher, finishing even with par after three rounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Fisher (73-69-71–213) totaled two birdies over the course of the tournament. His final score of even par secured his third top-20 finish of the season, as he tied for 12th place individually out of more than 80 participants.
Michael Weber (76-72-70–218) finished five above par. He shot a 70, or one below par, during round three, securing both his lowest single-round score and lowest three-round score of the 2023 campaign. Weber birdied every par five during round three, which boosted him up 23 places to 33rd place overall and earned him the top RedHawk score of the day.
Cameron Pero (72-75-71–218) posted a 71 in round three as well as four final-round birdies. He also finished five above par through three rounds and tied for 33rd overall.
Morgan Blythe (67-79-73–219) finished the tournament at six above par. He shot two above par during the final round.
Matthew Mattioli (72-72-75–219) also finished at six above par. His final round was four over par.
Sam West (78-74-75–227), who participated as an individual, was 14 above par through three rounds. He shot four above par in round three.
The team score for the RedHawks was 857, which is five above par. Miami's fifth place finish put them ahead of two teams ranked in Golfweek's top 100 nationally: UNLV (54) and Ball State (85).
