Miami continues a four-game road swing this weekend with a trip to Omaha. The RedHawks come in at 7-13-2 (2-9-1 NCHC) after dropping a pair of games at then-No. 4 Denver. The Mavericks are 11-9-2 (6-5-1 NCHC) and have won three straight games after a home sweep of Minnesota Duluth last weekend. UNO is receiving votes in both major polls.
Miami is 7-2-1 against Omaha under head coach
Chris Bergeron and leads the all-time series 29-21-7. The RedHawks captured three of four meetings from the Mavericks last season, including a win at then-No. 9 Omaha in the NCHC opener.
Matthew Barbolini (9-11-20) leads the RedHawks in both goals and assists this season.
John Waldron has eight goals and
Joe Cassetti has seven for Miami. Goaltender
Ludvig Persson is 7-12-2 this year with a .891 save percentage and 3.58 GAA.
Both games at Baxter Arena will be streamed on NCHC.tv, with puck drop set for 8:07 p.m. ET on Friday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21.
