Hockey Preview: Western Michigan

Miami heads to Western Michigan this weekend for its final series of the regular season to take on the No. 8/8 Broncos. The RedHawks are coming off a split against then-No. 8 Minnesota Duluth and have picked up at least one conference point in five of their last six contests. WMU dropped two games at then-No. 7 North Dakota last weekend (2-1 and 5-2).
The Broncos lead the all-time series 75-70-13 and captured both meetings in Oxford in December. Miami earned two victories out of three road games at WMU last season.
The games will be available on NCHC.tv, with puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday in Kalamazoo, Mich. WMOH 1450 AM The Ticket (Hamilton, Ohio) will have the radio broadcasts, with Greg Waddell on the call.
Miami enters the weekend at 7-23-2 (4-17-1 NCHC), while Western Michigan is 20-10-1 (12-9-1 NCHC).
Head coach Chris Bergeron and senior defenseman Andrew Sinard met with the media this week to preview the series against the Broncos.
