ON TAP: After nine days with no basketball, the Miami University women's basketball teams hosts Tiffin University on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 12 p.m.

HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF: After an outstanding freshman campaign, where she averaged 12.6 points per contest,  sophomore Ivy Wolf has taken the next step in her career. Wolf is third in the MAC in scoring (17.5) and 11th in assists (3.3). She has scored at least 15 points in 10 of 12 games this season.

HOME SWEET HOME: Miami is currently 4-2 at Millett Hall this season and 0-6 on the road. Including Tiffin, Miami plays three of its next four contests in Oxford, Ohio.

WEEKEND RECAP:  Miami last competed on Dec. 20-21 in the West Palm Beach Invitational. San Diego State finished the contest on a 19-2 run to down the RedHawks 66-57 and a day later Miami fell 82-51 to West Virginia. Peyton Scott averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists last week to lead the Red and White.

WELCOME BACK: Peyton Scott suffered a knee injury in the last game of the 2021-22 campaign and made her season debut on Nov. 21 against WKU. The first-team preseason All-MAC honoree. played limited minutes her first six games, but seems back to herself, averaging 35.3 minutes over her last three games. While her scoring per game is down (due to the limited minutes), she leads the MAC with an assists/turnover ratio of 3.3.

GETTING A CLUE: After an up and down freshman season, where Maddi Cluse averaged 6.5 points per contest, the second-year RedHawk seems to have things figured out in 2022-23. Cluse currently ranks sixth in the MAC with a 15.6 scoring average. She is also third in rebounding (8.2) and fourth in shooting percentage (.465).

ABOUT TIFFIN UNIVERSITY: Tiffin is 4-9 on the season and is currently on a three-game losing streak. Savanah Richards leads the way, averaging 11.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest.

SERIES WITH TIFFIN: Miami is 1-0 all-time versus Tiffin, last competing on Dec. 31, 2019, a contest Miami won 83-51. These two teams have also faced-off three different times in exhibition games. Miami won all three of those contests as well (2012, 2010, 2009).

MAGICAL MILESTONES: While the season is still fairly early, Miami has seen a few outstanding milestones hit this season:
• Dec. 11 -- Ivy Wolf scored her 500th career point, the third fastest in program history to do so.
• Dec. 16 -- Peyton Scott scored her 1,500th career point.
• Dec. 16 -- Maddi Cluse recorded the second triple-double in program history, registering 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in an 82-56 win over Bradley. The last triple-double for Miami was from Linda Mallender on Dec. 14, 1984.
• Dec. 17 -- Peyton Scott secured her 500th career rebound, becoming just one of three RedHawks in program history to score 1,500 points and record 500 career rebounds.

GREAT SCOTT: Senior guard Peyton Scott has accomplished a ton since arriving in Oxford, all while maintaining a 3.78 grade-point average and majoring in sports leadership and management.
• She has scored 1,561 points and ranks seventh all-time on Miami's scoring list.
• Scott was named to the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Preseason Award Watch List.
• Two seasons ago, she scored 30-plus points in five different games, including 39 versus Ball State, a new Millett Hall record. She has surpassed 30-plus points six different times in her career.
• She has scored in double figures 78 times in her career and has surpassed 20 points 29 different times.
• Named second-team All-MAC the past two seasons and was on the MAC All-Freshman team in 2019-20.
• Scott has started 89 of 92 games in her career.

MORE FROM MORROW: After being shutout in her debut against Xavier, Sierra Morrow has scored in double-figures in six of her last 10 games.
