OXFORD, Ohio – Peyton Scott and Maddi Cluse combined for 40 points but it wasn't enough for the Miami University women's basketball team (4-6) in an 82-74 loss to the Oakland Grizzlies (5-4) on Saturday night.

How it Happened:
- Five different RedHawks scored in the opening 10 minutes, led by Ivy Wolf's six to spot the Red and White a 24-21 advantage heading to the second period.
- Wolf opened the second quarter with a triple from the corner to push Miami's lead to 27-21 before Oakland responded with an 11-0 run to force a RedHawks timeout. Miami scored the game's next nine points and led 36-32 with two minutes left in the half. The game was tied 38-38 at the half.
- The Golden Grizzlies used a 10-0 run midway through the third to claim a 54-46 lead and led 60-52 entering the fourth.
- Miami scored the first six points of the fourth and closed the gap, 60-58, but Oakland reclaimed a five-point advantage, 68-63, with 4:45 to play. Miami got as close as 70-69 with 3:16 to play, but could never get over the hump.
Game Notes:
- Peyton Scott secured her fourth rebound of the contest early in the fourth quarter, the 500th of her career. She becomes just the third RedHawk in program history to post 1,500 points and 500 rebounds.
- After posting a triple double on Friday, Maddi Cluse recorded 19 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday. The 13 rebounds are a new career best.
- Sierra Morrow had a career-best three blocks and matched her career-high with seven rebounds.
- Sydney Watkins secured a career-high five steals.
