HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 15:35 2nd (Miami 1-0) | The first goal of the game came late in the second period. After a five-minute major against SCSU's Brendan Bushy put Miami on the power play, Red Savage gave the puck to Waldron along the boards, who then passed back to Kumlin. Waldron got the puck back and shot it across the zone, with Kumlin picking it up and rocketing it into the net to put the RedHawks up 1-0.
- 17:52 2nd (Miami 2-0) | Miami claimed another goal just over two minutes later. Holding the puck at the top of the Huskies' zone, Ryan Savage sent it up to Max Dukovac, who played it off the boards to Joe Cassetti. Cassetti's goal doubled the RedHawks' lead.
- 19:06 2nd (Miami 3-0) | Closing out the middle period with one final goal on the man advantage, Kumlin passed up to Fletcher for a shot that rebounded to Barbolini. He immediately deposited it past Dominic Basse to give Miami a 3-0 lead entering the third period.
- 16:25 3rd (Miami 4-0) | Waldron scored his fourth goal of the series on a power-play opportunity late in the game. Barbolini brought the puck behind SCSU's net, shooting it back to Fletcher. Waldron received it and ripped the one-timer to make it 4-0.
- 18:08 3rd (Miami 5-0) | Miami capitalized with an empty net to conclude the scoring in the final minutes. Fletcher passed across the Huskies' zone to William Hallén, who finished the play for his first career goal.
