ON TAP: The Miami University women's basketball team looks to squash a two-game losing streak with a Saturday, Nov. 26 trip to face the Evansville Purple Aces. Opening tip is set for 2 p.m.

HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF: After an outstanding freshman campaign, where she averaged 12.6 points per contest,  sophomore Ivy Wolf has taken the next step in her career. She scored 17 points in the season opener versus Xavier and added 18 in a win over Vermont. She added a career-high seven assists at Memphis and scored another 17 points at WKU.

GETTING A CLUE: After an up and down freshman season, where Maddi Cluse averaged 6.5 points per contest, the second-year RedHawk seems to have things figured out in 2022-23. Despite playing just 14 minutes at WKU (and not scoring), Cluse still leads the RedHawks in scoring (18.5) and rebounding (7.5).

WELCOME BACK: Peyton Scott suffered a knee injury in the last game of the 2021-22 campaign and made her season debut on Monday (Nov. 21) against the Lady Toppers. Scott had three points and three steals in nine minutes of action.

WESTERN KENTUCKY RECAP:  Ivy Wolf scored 17 and Katey Richason added 11 (career high), but it wasn't enough for the Miami University women's basketball team in a 91-55 loss at Western Kentucky (1-2) on Monday night. Richason played a career-high 30 minutes and added nine rebounds as well.

ABOUT EVANSVILLE: Evansville is 2-2 on the season for a squad that averages 71.8 points per game, but allows 86.5. The Purple Aces feature three double-digit scorers, led by Myia Clark (13.8), A'Niah Griffin (12.8) and Abby Feit (12.3). Barbora Tomancova, the 6-foot-3 center, averages 8.8 points and 6.5 boards per contest.

SERIES WITH EVANSVILLE: Miami is 3-2 all-time against the Purple Aces, including an 81-73 victory a year ago. In that contest, Peyton Scott recorded 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Maddi Cluse (13) and Ivy Wolf (10) also found double figures. The RedHawks are 0-2 all-time on the road in this series.

HOME SWEET HOME: Following Saturday's contest, the RedHawks return home on Nov. 28 to face Loyola-Chicago. Miami has not competed at home since Nov. 11.

GREAT SCOTT: Senior guard Peyton Scott has accomplished a ton since arriving in Oxford, all while maintaining a 3.78 grade-point average and majoring in sports leadership and management.
• She has scored 1,4414 points and ranks ninth all-time on Miami's scoring list.
• Scott was named to the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Preseason Award Watch List.
• Two seasons ago, she scored 30-plus points in five different games, including 39 versus Ball State, a new Millett Hall record. She has surpassed 30-plus points six different times in her career.
• She has scored in double figures in 50 of her last 54 contests.
• Named second-team All-MAC the past two seasons and was on the MAC All-Freshman team in 2019-20.
• Scott started the first 83 games of her career at Miami before missing the season opener versus Xavier.

GIVE HER A HAND: Senior Amani Freeman missed 17 games last season with a hand injury, but is completely healthy this season. Last year she opened with 10 points and four rebounds at Valpo and added nine points and four blocks at Purdue in 24 minutes of action before exiting with the hand injury. Freeman scored a career-best 14 points in the win over Vermont.

ALL STREAKS COME TO AN END: Sophomore Ivy Wolf had a streak of 30-straight free throw makes snapped on Monday night. She entered the contest 21-for-21 and made her next nine, before missing a free throw late in loss to WKU.

MORE FROM MORROW: After being shutout in her debut against Xavier, Morrow recorded back-to-back career-highs in points. She scored 12 points in a win over Vermont and five days later added 14 on the road at Memphis. She scored six points on 2-of-3 shooting at WKU.

NEW FACES, NEW PLACES: Miami has three new additions from last season on the roster. Riley Neal is the lone freshman and is joined by transfers Sierra Morrow (Bradley) and Jessie Dai (Odessa College). Neal averaged 21.6 points and 10 rebounds per game last season as a senior at North Oldham High School in Prospect, Ky., while Morrow averaged 6.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and was 70th in the nation with 1.6 blocks per contest. Dai averaged 11.3 points and 4.5 rebounds last season at Odessa College.
