PEORIA, Ill.--The men and women of Miami University's cross country team competed in the Bradley Pink Invitational on Friday. The men's team ran the 8k race, while the women's team ran the 6k.
The men finished in sixth place with a total of 165 points, led by
Obsaa Feda who had yet another top-10Â performance, setting himself up for a great postseason. The women finished in eighth place with a total of 236 points, led by
Carmen Riano who finished in first place and set a new PR by 37 seconds.
How It Happened:
- For the men, Obsaa Feda finished in 6th place with a time of 23:39.6. Charlie Harders came in 21st place with a time of 23:59.4. Jake Bertelsen came in 29th place with a time of 24:04.1. Conall McGinness finished in 63rd place with a time of 24:30.3, and Dan Conway finished with a time of 24:32.7. The solid times and improved depth for the RedHawks (including some breakthrough performances this month) sets the team up well for the conference championship meet in two weeks.
- The women were led by Carmen Riano, who won the race with a time of 19:54.2, and continues to consistently produce top-10 results. Ava Nuttall finished in seventh place with a time of 20:24.6, setting a new PR by 25 seconds and positioning herself for a strong postseason. Julia Rushing finished in 53rd place with a time of 21:34.2. Jenna Sayle came in 73rd place with a time of 21:50.5. Gianna Labbiento finished in 103rd with a time of 22:09.6, setting a new PR by 50 seconds.
