Get to Know Miami Men's Basketball

The Miami University men's basketball team enters week three since the start of holding official practice. This is all in preparation for the season opener against Evansville at home in Millett Hall on Nov. 7. After practice Sophomore Julian Lewis and Freshman Mitchell Rylee met with MiamiRedHawks.com to discuss their experience since joining the team.Â
Lewis is entering his first year with Miami as a sophmore after transferring from William & Mary. While attending, Lewis was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team as he averaged 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He recorded a career-high of 17 points versus Delaware and a career-high of 8 assists against Valparaiso.Â
Rylee enters his first year of collegiate basketball as a Freshman out of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. He attended Covington Catholic high school, where he enjoyed much success. Rylee was a 1000+ point scorer while in high school.Â
