
RedHawks Complete Day Two of Jim Green Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. - After a great start on day one, the Miami University track and field team continued to see more success on day two with strong finishes for the RedHawks against a competitive field at the Jim Green Invitational.

The RedHawks continue their indoor season at the Michigan Invitational next Saturday, Jan. 22. More information about the Michigan Invitational will be posted soon.

Women
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Miami had plenty of good performances in this meet. On the women's side, Emily Akin finished the 3000-meter event taking ninth place with a time of 9:57.21 in the competitive group.
- For the men, Jacob Ranker captured third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.26. De'Yon Brown finished 10th in the 60-meter dash finals with a time of 6.99 after earning the spot to compete yesterday.
- Field events were vital for the RedHawks on day two of the Jim Green Invitational, with Ryan Smith securing second in the shot put with a 16.30-meter throw. Dawson Wervey grabbed fourth place in the triple jump with a 13.72-meter jump. For the women, Grace Rigel claimed sixth with a 13.10-meter throw.
