RedHawks See Action at Michigan Inivitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. --Â The Miami University women's indoor track and field squad, along with select men's runners, competed in the Michigan Invitational on Saturday. While competing against top talent from MAC and others, the RedHawks saw top results on the day.

Miami returns to the track on January 28 for the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Ind.

How it Happened:
- The men's  one-mile event was a highlight for the RedHawks, with Anthony Camerieri grabbing the event's top spot. Camerieri finished first with a time of 4:01.29
- Distance events were essential for Miami as Andrew Schroff earned second in the 800-meter with a time of 1:52.45. Katie Vitou claimed third place in the 3000-meter with a time of 9:53.47 for the RedHawks.
- The relay team with Faith Baxter, Sarah Bruns, Abby Suszek, and Marta Cepeda Perez finished in third in the 4x400-meter relay event with a time of 3:55.69.
- The field competitors saw crucial results in their events at Michigan. Jaime Handra finished in fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.58 meters and Sydney Jefferson recorded a distance of 18.66 meters in the women's weight throw to finish in fifth.
- Ryan Smith saw action in two men's field events on the day, finishing second in the shot put (16.41 meters) and eighth in the weight throw (17.09 meters)
