
Miami Triumphs In 2-0 Shutout Against Eagles

OXFORD, Ohio – Two first-half goals lifted the Miami University women's soccer team (2-2-3) to a win against Morehead State University (2-5-1) at Bobby Kramig Field on Wednesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The RedHawks will head on the road to play Eastern Kentucky University at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The RedHawks came right out the gate on fire, putting up six shots in the first 17 minutes. Emily Sexton punched in a goal off an assist from Haley Anspach to give Miami the 1-0 advantage.
- Less than six minutes later Julia Hoffmann scored off another Anspach's assist at 22:49. The RedHawks shutout Morehead 2-0 in the first half.
- In the second half, Miami continued to hold the Eagles scoreless, finishing the game with a 2-0 win.
- Miami outshot Morehead State 15-6 and had seven shots on-goal to the Eagles' two in Wednesday's matchup.
- Izzie Vaccari had two saves in the shutout win for the RedHawks.
The RedHawks will head on the road to play Eastern Kentucky University at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17.
