CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - In an exciting battle against the University of North Alabama, the Miami University women's soccer team posted a 1-1 double overtime tie at Morgan Bros. Field on Friday evening.

The RedHawks will be on the road at Austin Peay State University at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug 29.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â Â
- In the first 18 minutes of the game, the RedHawks put up two shots but couldn't put it in the back of the net.
- In the first half, it was a 0-0 draw as Miami and North Alabama battled with three shots each in the period.
- At the 59:11 mark, North Alabama scored making it a 1-0 lead over Miami.
- Haley Anspach scored with an assist from Kyleigh von Klahr at 79:18 to bring the RedHawks back, 1-1.
- With 1:81 on the clock, Anspach almost sealed the deal for the RedHawks but couldn't capitalize, sending Miami and North Alabama into extra minutes.
- Miami had three more attempts in extra time but couldn't finish, leaving the final tally 1-1.
- The RedHawks had 16 shots with six on-goal.
- Anspach had six shots with three on-goal.Â
- Izzie Vaccari had three saves in the match.
