Baseball to Hold Walk-On Tryouts September 1

OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University baseball head coach Danny Hayden has announced that the program will hold walk-on tryouts on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at McKie Field, starting at 6 p.m.
Prospective players are required to complete both the compliance tryout sheet, as well as the sports medicine information packet, which are linked on the right. They can also be picked up from Debbie Vogt in office 230 inside Yager Stadium. The packet must be returned to her at 230 Yager by Monday, Aug. 30 at 3p.m. in order to participate in the tryout. In addition, all players must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at Miami and have to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse, which is also linked at the right.
Interested participants should report to McKie Field at Hayden Park by 5:30 p.m. Players trying out should bring all of the necessary equipment (bats, gloves, cleats and, if necessary, catching gear). Those trying out will be put through a variety of workouts and drills.
