Six to be Inducted Into Miami Athletics Hall of Fame

Miami University Athletics will honor six outstanding individuals as it inducts the Hall of Fame Class of 2020-21. Comprising the 52nd Hall of Fame Class is Suzanne D'Addario Brouder (field hockey), Amanda Jackson (women's basketball), Bobby Kramig (soccer), Clark Mace (baseball), Lori Reinart Kroth (volleyball) and Nancy Fry Sturgeon (field hockey, basketball and tennis).

The Hall of Fame induction event will take place on Friday, Sept. 17 at the Armstrong Student Center. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for registration details.

Suzanne D'Addario, '94Â
A four-time all-conference selection, Suzanne D'Addario earned first-team honors three times after being named to the All-MAC Second Team her freshman season. D'Addario was the first player in program history to earn all-region recognition three times ('91, '92, '93) and remains one of only two to do so today. She currently ranks sixth in program history in goals (37) and eighth in points (86). At the time of graduation she ranked third in both categories. D'Addario was also a two-time Academic All-MAC selection.

Amanda Jackson, '08
The program's only player to be named MAC Tournament MVP, Amanda Jackson led Miami to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2008 as the RedHawks won their first MAC Tournament since the 1981-82 season. Jackson was named to the MAC All-Tournament Team as well. The three-time all-conference selection graduated as the program's leading scorer (1,979) and the record holder in field goals (685), free throws (464) and 20-point games (38). Jackson still holds the single-season records for points (712), field goals (239), field goals attempted (607), free throws (175), free throws attempted (207) and 20-point games (19), all records she set during her senior season. She ranks in the top-10 in program history in 10 different categories.Â

Bobby Kramig
Bobby Kramig spent a combined 34 years guiding the Miami men's and women's soccer programs. After winning 138 games, three conference titles and conference coach of the year twice with the men's team, he ushered in the current era of Miami women's soccer. With the RedHawk women, Kramig retired as the MAC's all-time leader with 218 wins, four MAC Tournament titles and three NCAA Tournament victories. In 20 seasons with the women's program, the RedHawks went 218-153-32 overall for a .581 winning percentage while also winning two regular season MAC titles. He developed 54 All-MAC selections and three National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA) All-Americans on the women's side with 33 more all-conference recipients and 23 all-region honorees for the men's program.

Clark Mace, '01
Mace rewrote the Miami record books during his career and was selected in the 28th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks as the 848th overall pick in 2001. After batting .339 in his final season with the Red and White, Mace left as the career-leader for hits (316), at-bats (901), runs (230), RBI (176), doubles (54), and total bases (477). To this day, he still leads all of those categories except doubles where he now ranks second. Mace is eighth in career batting average (.350), tied for 10th in career home runs (28) and second in career stolen bases (77). He has two of the top-10 single-season best performances in hits and runs scored, while his 59 RBIs in 2001 is tied for the ninth-best performance in school history. He was a two-time All-MAC selection (1999 and 2000) and was the 1998 MAC Freshman of the Year. In 2000 as a junior he was selected to the All-Mideast Region team. That came after he led the RedHawks to 40 wins, a MAC Tournament Championship and a victory in the NCAA Tournament.

Lori Reinart, '96
Reinart helped lead Miami into an era of dominance. She led the team to the 1995 and 1996 Mid-American Conference Championships, winning the MAC Tournament in 1996 and going to the NCAA Tournament both seasons. In 1996, Reinart was named MAC Player of the Year as well as an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-District Player. She earned All-MAC honors three times (1994-96). Reinart still ranks fourth all-time with 1,372 kills. Her 3.30 kills per set average ranks third, while her .290 career hitting percentage ranks 10th. Reinart is fifth all-time with 331 block assists. Her 14 against Ohio on Nov. 2, 1996 remains Miami's single-match record. Reinart has two of the top 10 single-season kill totals in school history.

Nancy Sturgeon, '52
Sturgeon was a three-sport athlete for field hockey, basketball and tennis from 1948-52, nearly three decades before Title IX was passed. In 2009 Sturgeon was finally honored, receiving letters in all three sports. Sturgeon was also Miami's head tennis coach for two years and an active member of Miami University. She taught continuing education classes, was the fencing club and Shakerettes advisor, designed and taught aquatics to go along with many other activities that demonstrated her leadership. She was a 2019 Butler County Hall of Fame inductee as well.Â
