FORT WAYNE, Ind.—After the first two rounds at the Mid-American Conference Championships, hosted by Miami University at Sycamore Hills Golf Club, the Miami University golf team sits in fifth place among the eight-team field. The RedHawks shot 315-311=626 over the first two rounds and sit just six strokes out of second place and are 14 strokes out of first.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Junior Charlie Nikitas fired rounds of 76 and 75 and is tied for third place at 151 over the first two rounds. Nikitas is just one stroke out of first place.
Seniors Jack Mortell (82-76=158) and Cam Solomon (77-81=158) are tied for 22nd place.
Redshirt junior Jack Herceg is tied for 26th place with a score of 159 (80-79).
