OXFORD, Ohio — The Miami University baseball team played game three of their four-game series with Kent State and fell 4-1 on Saturday morning at McKie Field. With the loss, the RedHawks fall to 19-14 (12-7 Mid-American Conference), while the Golden Flashes improve to 16-18 (9-10 MAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Trailing at 4-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning, sophomore Billy Kopicki led off with a double to left field. Kopicki later scored on a groundout, cutting the Kent State lead to three.
GAME NOTES:
- Junior Sam Bachman threw seven innings, striking out eleven while allowing just two earned runs.
- Will Vogelgesang went 1-for-3 on the day with a walk.
WHAT'S NEXT:
The RedHawks will face off against the Kent State Golden Flashes in the final game of the series on Sunday, April 25. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. at McKie Field.
