DULUTH, Minn. — After a called-off goal in Miami's favor in the first period, the Bulldogs completely changed the tone of the game in Duluth, as the Miami RedHawks fell to No. 5/6 Minnesota Duluth at AMSOIL Arena on Friday night by a score of 8-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 9:10 1st (UMD 1-0) | Like the previous games in Oxford, the Bulldogs started the scoring. Koby Bender was fighting for the puck along the boards as he passed it over to Jackson Cates. Cates sent a touch pass to Blake Biondi, who got it in the back of the net for the first goal early.
- 11:48 1st (UMD 2-0) | After a turnover in the neutral zone, the Bulldogs found themselves with an opportunity. A quick transition by UMD allowed Cates to get his stick on the puck, and he was able to use a short pass to get it to Kobe Roth. Roth scored with a quick release to increase the home team's lead to two goals.
- 15:39 1st (UMD 3-0) | After getting the puck at center ice, Tanner Laderoute got the puck and brought it over to the front of the net. He was able to pass it over to Cole Koepke, who got it in.
- 17:50 1st (UMD 4-0) | To close off the first period's explosive offensive effort by the home team, the Bulldogs were able to score the game's fourth with an entry from a three-on-two. Bender was able to get the puck from Connor Kelley and scored with a wrist shot from the right circle.
- 0:54 2nd (UMD 5-0) | Duluth got the second period's scoring off early. Noah Cates was able to pick up the puck off a turnover, and he fed it to the open ice. Nick Swaney was able to get a breakaway after grabbing the puck from free ice and scored to make it a 5-0 game.
- 11:49 2nd (UMD 6-0) | After the RedHawks were called for the game's first penalty, the Bulldogs found themselves with another chance to increase their lead. Cates passed the puck to Roth from down low at the boards, and Roth found Koepke in front. Koepke was able to shoot a one-timer in the back of the net for his second of the game.
- 17:07 2nd (UMD 7-0) | To close off the second period, Laderoute tried to score on a breakaway, but his attempt was unsuccessful. However, Koepke got his stick on the rebound on the other side, and he bounced it in for a hat trick.
- 3:02 3rd (Miami 7-1) | Miami finally found a chance to get on the board in the third period, as the Bulldogs were called for a penalty. Derek Daschke had the puck at the blue line and found Casey Gilling at the right circle. Gilling was able to beat Duluth goaltender Ryan Fanti's glove side to get Miami on the board.
- 9:43 3rd (UMD 8-1) | After the 'Hawks were able to score on the man advantage, the Bulldogs were able to respond. Bender threw the puck across the ice to Roth from an angle, and Roth was able to tip it in to score.
