OXFORD, Ohio— Freshman guard
Ivy Wolf scored 22 points to lead Miami to a 73-43 exhibition win over Lock Haven at Millett Hall Saturday morning.
Peyton Scott added 16 points on 8-9 shooting for the RedHawks, who led from start to finish. Miami jumped out to a 12-point lead by the end of the first quarter and was not seriously threatened the rest of the way.

Tajah Foster-Walker, one of three MU starters making their debuts for the Red and White, finished in double figures with 10 points and dished out a game-high four assists. Freshman
Maddi Cluse pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for the RedHawks, who outrebounded the visitors 44-32.

Miami's defense held the Bald Eagles to 30.8% shooting from the floor and the RedHawks outscored Lock Haven in each of the four quarters.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Peyton Scott made all four of her field goal attempts in the first quarter to help Miami take an early 10-6 lead.
- MU went 9-13 from the floor in the first 10 minutes and held Lock Haven to only one basket en route to a 23-11 lead at the quarter break.
- Scott and Wolf combined for 22 points before halftime, while the visitors managed just 21 as a team in the opening half.
- The RedHawks used a 12-0 run spanning the end of the second quarter and beginning of the third to push the lead to 42-21. Lock Haven didn't score a point over the first five minutes of the second half.
- Miami's lead ballooned to as much as 32 points in the final minute.

- Wolf hit all four of Miami's three-pointers, as the freshman finished 4-10 from distance.
- Four players saw their first action in a Miami uniform: Ivy Wolf, Maddi Cluse, Tajah Foster-Walker, and Clare Chambers.
- Edyn Battle scored seven points in her first action since the 2020-21 season opener.
- MU made 13 of 17 free throw attempts and shot 28-64 from the floor (43.8%).
