ON TAP: The Miami University women's basketball looks to erase last Wednesday's loss versus NKU with a trip to Loyola Chicago on Sunday, Nov. 28. Opening tip is slated for 2 p.m.
OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION: Miami's offense has improved dramatically from a year ago. The RedHawks are averaging 6.2+ points, they are shooting .439 this year (.400 a year ago) and are out-rebounding its opponents by 8.5 per game (1.9 a year ago).
BOOKS AND BASKETBALL: Peyton Scott was named MAC Player of the week following a 28 point effort in a win over Xavier last week. She has also twice been named MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week this year. The junior maintains a 3.69 GPA in Sports Leadership and Management.
REDHAWKS FALL TO NORSE: The RedHawks dropped a 70-59 decision on Wednesday to Northern Kentucky. In the loss,
Peyton Scott had 24 points, but was the lone RedHawk in double figures.
GET THE WINDEX: Despite being out-rebounded 49-29 on Wednesday versus NKU, the RedHawks have been an outstanding rebounding team through four games. Despite playing teams from the Big Ten and Big East, the RedHawks have outrebounded its opponents, 159-125, a margin of 8.5 per game. Miami has 62 offensive boards this year, a clip of 15.5 per contest.
BALANCING ACT: While
Peyton Scott (23.0) and
Ivy Wolf (12.3) are getting a majority of the offensive attention, Miami has a total of seven players averaging at least 4.8 points per game this season. Last year, just four RedHawks averaged over 5.0 points per game.
ABOUT LOYOLA CHICAGO: Loyola Chicago is 3-2 on the year and is coming off a 96-61 win on Wednesday over St. Francis (Ill.). Janae Gonzales is tops on the team with 11.0 points per game, followed by Maya Chandler and her 10.6 points per contest. Point guard Sam Galanopoulos has 25 assists on the year.
SERIES WITH THE RAMBLERS: This will be just the second meeting between the two programs, with the first contest taking place on Dec. 29, 1984, a game Loyola won, 84-63.
GREAT SCOTT: Known as "P" amongst her teammates, junior guard
Peyton Scott has accomplished more than most through two years of play.
• Has scored 976 points and is just 24 points away from becoming the 27th RedHawk to surpass 1,000 points in their career.
• Last season alone, she scored 30-plus points in five different games, including 39 versus Ball State, a new Millett Hall record.
• She had a stretch last season from Feb. 3-Feb. 13 in which she scored 30-plus points in four straight games, the first RedHawk in school history to accomplish such a feat.
HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF: Through three contests, freshman
Ivy Wolf is averaging 14.0 points per game. She had one of the best collegiate debuts in Miami women's basketball history, scoring 23 points at Valpo. When compared to other Miami greats, Wolf is near the top.

Jordan Tuff, two transfers join the RedHawks as well.
