CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Miami University women's basketball team used an 11-0 run in the final two minutes to secure a 77-73 win at Xavier University on Wednesday evening. The win improves the RedHawks to 2-1 on the year, while Xavier falls to 0-3.

Peyton Scott scored seven of her game-high 28 points down the stretch and
Jordan Tuff came through with a clutch three-pointer as the RedHawks stormed back to stun Xavier. Scott and Tuff (12 points) were the lone RedHawks in double figures, while Scott chipped in with seven rebounds and five assists.
Jada Duckett had a team-high nine boards.
Miami connected on 13-of-26 three pointers, outscoring Xavier by 36 points behind the arc. MU also outrebounded the Musketeers 39-24 in the win.
How it Happened:
- Miami shot 50% from the floor in the first quarter, led by eight points from Ivy Wolf, including a pair of three-pointers. The RedHawks and Musketeers were tied at 14-14 after one quarter of play.
- Xavier raced out to a 30-24 advantage midway through the second quarter before the RedHawks scored nine points on three consecutive triples in a span of 51 seconds to move ahead, 33-30. Miami led 37-32 at the half.
- The RedHawks continued their hot shooting from behind the arc in the third quarter, connecting on 5-of-10 attempts. An Amani Freeman putback on a missed triple gave MU its biggest lead of the game at 57-49 with 1:15 left in the third. Miami took a 57-52 lead into the final period.
- Xavier used a 19-9 run to take control in the fourth quarter, going on top 71-66 with 2:12 to play. A Scott layup cut the deficit to 71-68 and a steal from senior Vannessa Garrelts led to Tuff's fourth three-pointer of the game, tying the contest at 71-71.
- Scott was fouled on the next possession, making 1-of-2 free throws to spot the Red and White a 72-71 advantage. Scott's fade-away jumper from the elbow on the ensuing possession pushed Miami's lead to 74-71.
Game Notes:
- The RedHawks' 13 made three-pointers were just three shy of the school record 16, set back in 2000.
- Miami scored 32 points off of a season-high 21 forced turnovers.
- Jordan Tuff had a career-high four three-pointers.
