RedHawks Head to Xavier For Wednesday Night Tilt

ON TAP: The Miami University women's basketball travels 40 miles south to take on the Xavier Musketeers on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.

DYNAMIC DUO: The backcourt duo of Peyton Scott and Ivy Wolf have led the way so far in this young season. The duo is averaging 37.0 points per game, while adding 9.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists combined.

GREAT SCOTT: Peyton Scott was second-team All-MAC a year ago after averaging 21.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2.7 steals per game last season. She ranked in the top-10 in six different MAC categories and scored double digits in 23 of 24 contests.

REDHAWKS HANG TOUGH WITH ILLINOIS: Trailing 40-22 at the half, the Miami University women's basketball team outscored Illinois University 43-32 the last 20 minutes of the contest, but fell just short, 72-65 on Sunday afternoon. Peyton Scott threatened a triple-double, finishing with 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Maddi Cluse added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Ivy Wolf chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds. Miami outrebounded Illinois 47-33, finishing the game with 17 offensive rebounds.

CLEAN THE GLASS: Through two games, the RedHawks have one of the best rebounding teams in the country, outrebounding its first two opponents, 91-52. Miami had 20 offensive rebounds in the win over Valpo and had 17 offensive boards at Illinois. Miami's 19.5 rebounding margin per game ranks 17th in the nation and its 37 offensive rebounds is 27th.

BALANCED ATTACK: While Peyton Scott (20.0) and Ivy Wolf (17.0) are getting a majority of the offensive attention, Miami has a total of seven players averaging at least 6.0 points per game this season. Last year, just four RedHawks averaged over 6.0 points per game.

ABOUT XAVIER: Xavier is 0-2 on the year with losses at Memphis and Utah. Nia Clark (a former RedHawk), leads the team with 12.5 points per game.

SERIES WITH XAVIER: This will be the 18th meeting between the two schools with Miami holding a slight 17-10 advantage in the all-time series. The last time the two squads faced off was in the WNIT back on March 17, 2004, a contest Miami won 77-65.

WITH A CAPITAL P: Known as "P" amongst her teammates, junior guard Peyton Scott has accomplished more than most through two years of play.
• Has scored 924 points and is just 76 points away from becoming the 27th RedHawk to surpass 1,000 points in their career.
• Last season alone, she scored 30-plus points in five different games, including 39 versus Ball State, a new Millett Hall record.
• She had a stretch last season from Feb. 3-Feb. 13 in which she scored 30-plus points in four straight games, the first RedHawk in school history to accomplish such a feat.

HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF: Through two contests, freshman Ivy Wolf is averaging 17.0 points per game. She had one of the best collegiate debuts in Miami women's basketball history, scoring 23 points at Valpo. When compared to other Miami greats, Wolf is near the top.

Lauren Dickerson - 26 points vs. Ohio Dominican
Ivy Wolf - 23 points at Valpo
Courtney Osborn - 16 points vs. Bucknell
Amanda Jackson - 16 points at Michigan
