OXFORD, Ohio--For the second-straight night, the Miami University volleyball team claimed a 3-0 win over the Buffalo Bulls. The RedHawks posted 26-24, 25-19 and 27-25 wins in consecutive sets on Saturday evening at Millett Hall. Miami improves to 2-0 on the season and also in Mid-American Conference play, while the Bulls drop to 0-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Buffalo held an 8-4 lead against the RedHawks in the first set, but Miami continued to battle, bringing the score back to a 15-15 tie off an sophomore Allyson Severance service ace. The lead continued to go back-and-forth between the teams until a junior Gaby Harper kill clinched the first set, 26-24.
- Miami and Buffalo kept it close in score in the opening of the second set, 7-7, but Miami quickly took the lead after a 7-2 to post a 13-9 advantage. Miami continued to stay strong and won the second set off a service ace by Morgan Seaman, 25-19, to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- Miami and Buffalo battled it out in the opening of the third set, keeping it close in score, 5-5. This continued to go back-and-forth in lead changes until Buffalo built a three-point advantage, 20-17. Miami tied things up at 21-21. Things stayed tight until the very end with Miami capturing a 27-25 decision in the third set to take the match.Â

NOTES:
- Miami had a strong performance in service aces with eight. Severance led the team with a career-high four service aces.
- Harper allied 11 kills to lead the RedHawks, while sophomore Severance tallied eight kills. Freshman Maggie McCrary added seven kills.
- Junior Jennifer Schulze led the team with seventeen assists..Â
- Senior Abigail Huser led the team with nine digs
