OXFORD, Ohio--With all five starts scoring in double figures paired with a career-high from sophomore guard Dae Dae Grant, the Miami University men's basketball team (6-4; 3-2 Mid-American Conference) grabbed a decisive 96-77 victory over Bowling Green State University (10-5; 6-3 MAC) on Thursday evening at Millett Hall. The RedHawks, who led from start to finish, recorded a season-high in total points scored and tallied their most points scored in a game since Dec. 30, 2019 and most points against a Division I opponent since, Jan. 5, 2002.

How It Happened:

Miami jumped out to a quick 16-2 lead within the first six minutes of the opening half.
Bowling Green closed within 10, 39-29, but the RedHawks finished on a strong run behind Grant, who scored 10 of Miami's last 13 first-half points.
Miami entered halftime leading 41-32, recording a first-half season-high for points.
At the start of the second half, each team started hot on the offensive end, both shooting over 50 percent from the field.
Despite Bowling Green bringing the score within seven, the RedHawks' offensive attack proved too much for the visiting Falcons as Miami converted on 11 3-point field goals.

Game Notes:

Miami recorded its most points scored in a contest since Dec. 30, 2019, against Wilberforce when the RedHawks notched a 119-52 win. It was the most points scored against a Division I opponent since Jan. 5, 2002 when Miami posted a 100-94 double-overtime win at Central Michigan.
Grant led all scorers with a career-high 27 points to go along with five assists and three steals.
Senior forward Dalonte Brown recorded his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Junior guard Mekhi Lairy logged his fifth-straight game with at least five assists to complement a 16-point performance.
Junior forward Elijah McNamara (10 points) and redshirt sophomore guard Myja White (11 points) both scored in double digits, putting all five starters in double figures for the contest.
For the game, Miami shot a scorching 58.7 percent from the floor.
The RedHawks recorded single-half season highs for points in both 20-minute periods, scoring 41 in the first and 55 in the second (the most in any half this season).
