Women’s Basketball Announces the Addition of Foster-Walker

Tajah Foster-Walker is a forward from Missouri who spent her freshman season at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
OXFORD, Ohio – Head Coach DeUnna Hendrix announced the addition of Tajah Foster-Walker to the RedHawks' roster on Monday.
"Tajah is a skilled, athletic forward that possesses the ability to score, rebound and defend," said Hendrix. "She's a fierce competitor and proven winner who we expect to be immediately impactful in many ways. We are thrilled to add her to the RedHawk family."

Foster-Walker played her freshman season at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She played in 30 games, earning the start in 23 of those contests. As a freshman, Foster-Walker averaged 6.2 points per game and was second on the team with 5.6 rebounds per game. She was also one block shy of the team lead with 39 total blocks on the season. Foster-Walker ranked second in the conference in blocks per game (1.3), 11th in defensive rebounds per game (4.2) and 14th in rebounds per game (5.6). Among freshman in school history, she ranked 10th in rebounding and third in blocks. Foster-Walker reached double figures five times as a freshman, including 15 points in her collegiate debut.
In 2019-20, UMKC finished with a 21-10 record and a 13-3 mark in conference play. Kansas City earned the top seed in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament and secured a spot in the semifinals to conclude the season.
Foster-Walker played her high school ball at Whitfield Academy. As a senior, she averaged 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game and earned All-Conference Second Team honors in addition to an All-District selection. Whitfield finished third in the state in 2018-19. Foster-Walker averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game as a sophomore in 2016-17 and was named MWAA Newcomer of the Year in addition to receiving an all-conference nod.
