Miami in Sixth at Desert Mountain Intercollegiate as Darkness Delays Second Round

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Miami golf team is currently in sixth place at 20-over par at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate. The team shot a four-over par first round of 292 and is currently shooting 16-over par in round two. Teams were unable to finish the second round due to darkness.
Redshirt sophomore Jack Herceg leads the RedHawks on day one following a one-under par round of 71 and a two-under par round through 17 holes. Herceg is currently tied for sixth at three-under par while John Augenstein of Vanderbilt is in first place at 11-under par.
Junior Charlie Nikitas is tied for 22nd at five-over par following an even par first round and a five-over par round through 16 holes. Finishing the day tied for 33rd at eight-over par was freshman Danny Fisher. He shot rounds of 73 and 79.
Shooting rounds of 76 and 78 and finishing the day tied for 44th at 10-over par was senior Jack Katarincic. Rounding out the team was sophomore Jack Ebner who is currently tied for 49th at 12-over par. Eber shot a five-over par first round and a seven-over par second round.
Competing as an individual is junior Jack Mortell. He shot rounds of 86 and 77 to finish the day in 69th place.
