Golf Finishes Seventh at Desert Mountain Intercollegiate

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Miami University had a few golfers finish up the second round today due to darkness on Saturday. The team finished round two with a score of 303 and shot a 297 in the final round of the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate to finish in seventh at 28-over par. Vanderbilt won the team title by 24 strokes and finished at 22-under par.
Redshirt sophomore Jack Herceg finished his second round with a 70 and then shot a round of 71. He finished the weekend tied for seventh at four-under par. John Augenstein of Vanderbilt won the individual title at 15-under par
Junior Charlie Nikitas finished round two today with a score of 76 and shot an even par final round of 72. Nikitas finished tied for 13th at four-over par. Sophomore Jack Ebner shot a two-over par 74 in round three and finished tied for 45th at 14-over par.
Freshman Danny Fisher finished tied for 51st at 16-over par following a final round of 80. Senior Jack Katarincic also shot a final round of 80 to finish tied for 59th at 18-over par.
Junior Jack Mortell competed as an individual and shot a round of 87 to finish in 70th.
Miami's next tournament will take place March 29-31 in Gulf Shores, Alabama as it competes in the Craft Farms Intercollegiate.
