Saturday is ALS Awareness and Baby Day at Women's Basketball

The RedHawks host Central Michigan for a 2 p.m. tip.

ON TAP: Miami (11-11, 4-6 MAC) hosts Central Michigan (17-4, 10-0 MAC) on Saturday to conclude the three-game homestand. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. as fans celebrate ALS Awareness Day and Baby Day inside Millett Hall. Fans can listen to the game on The Miami Sports Network from Van Wagner and watch on ESPN3.

ALS AWARENESS DAY: Sophomore Vannessa Garrelts created Shooting for a Cure for ALS following her father's diagnosis in 2014 and seeing how ALS affected his life and the lives of her family. This year, the Garrelts family is teaming up with Team Gleason to raise money and provide support to individuals and families living with ALS. One hundred percent of the money raised will directly benefit those battling ALS.
