
Miami Women Fifth After Day One of MAC Championships

Swimmers competed in the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay on Wednesday.
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Miami University women's swimming and diving team is fifth after the first day of competition at the 2020 Mid-American Conference Championships. Swimmers competed in the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay.
Camila Lins de Mello, Molly Zilch, Ashlyn Underhill and Claire Doerr finished fourth in the 800 free relay (7:18.13). Lins de Mello's leg of the relay (1:46.71), is the fourth-fastest in program history.
In the 200 medley relay, Izzy Herb, Sam Sutton, Madison Hoehn and Caroline Ehlers finished sixth (1:41.95).
The 2020 Women's MAC Championships continue on Thursday. Swimming prelims will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by diving prelims at 12:30 p.m. Consolation finals for the 1-mtr dive commence at 3 p.m. Finals for the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 200 free relay will begin at 6 p.m.
