Kenzie Schmitz scoring a career-high 13 points.
Lauren Dickerson had 16,
Peyton Scott had 12 and
Savannah Kluesner had 10 to round out the RedHawks' double-figure scorers. Kluesner led the RedHawks with eight rebounds and
Abbey Hoff led with a career-high seven assists. This season, Dickerson leads the Miami offense, averaging 16.7 points per game, while Kluesner leads the offense in MAC play, averaging 17.9 points per game. Kluesner leads the Red and White on the boards, averaging 8.6 rebounds per contest which ranks third in the conference. Miami is second in the MAC in turnover margin, assist/turnover ratio, blocks, assists and steals and third in the conference in both scoring offense and offensive rebounds.

ABOUT KENT STATE: The Golden Flashes sit second in the MAC East with a 7-6 conference record despite falling to Central Michigan on Wednesday by a 71-58 margin. Kent State had a trio score 14 points apiece in Lindsey Thall, Megan Carter and Asiah Dingle while Katie Shumate led with seven rebounds. This season, all five of KSU's regular starters are averaging double figures with Nila Blackford leading the way at 13.4 points per game. Blackford also leads the team in rebounds with 7.6 per game. Kent State has the worst rebounding offense in the MAC but the second-best rebounding defense and is the only team to beat Miami in blocks.
SERIES WITH THE GOLDEN FLASHES: The all-time series is tied at 46, but Kent State has a 37-12 lead on its home court. The Golden Flashes took the first of this season's meetings in the final seconds as the RedHawks held a one-point lead with eight seconds remaining. Dickerson led the Miami scoring efforts with 18 points while Kluesner and Hoff each chipped in 11. Hoff had a team-high six rebounds and Dickerson a game-high six assists. KSU had four reach double figures, led by Blackford with 23 points.
LOOKING AHEAD: Miami remains on the road, traveling to Buffalo next Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tip. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
