LAST TIME OUT: The Miami University women's basketball team used a balanced scoring attack and a stellar defensive effort to defeat Valparaiso, 67-49, on Tuesday night at Millett Hall. Â Overall, four different RedHwks scored in double figures, while Miami's defense held Valparaiso to 31.6 percent shooting and outrebounded the Crusaders 50-26.
Kelly McLaughlin had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the RedHawks and
Peyton Scott had 14 points, five assists and four rebounds in the win.

ABOUT OHIO STATE: Ohio State averages 93.7 points per game and allows just 52.3 points. Jacy Sheldon leads the bunch with 18.7 points and Dorka Juhasz averages 14.7 points and 9.0 rebounds a contest.

GREAT SCOTT: Peyton Scott had a banner year for the RedHawks in 2019-20, averaging 12.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, earning All-MAC Freshman honors. Scott started and played in 30 games last season and has started each of the last 32 contests for the Red and White. The sophomore has already scored 408 points and recorded 151 rebounds in her career.
EARLY IMPACT: Freshman
Katie Davidson has made a quick impression on the basketball team. In her first career game, she posted 16 points and 10 rebounds at No. 22 Notre Dame and followed it up with 14 points, five rebounds and five assists in a win on Tuesday.
LOOKING AHEAD: The RedHawks play their next four contests on the road, including a Dec. 15 game at Central Michigan.
