South Bend, Ind. -- The Miami University women's basketball team got its season underway on Sunday afternoon, falling 88-68 at No. 22 Notre Dame.

- Miami trailed 45-30 at halftime and 62-46 after three quarters of play.
- Peyton Scott led the RedHawks with 18 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
- Freshmen Katie Davidson and Edyn Battle saw their first action as RedHawks. Davidson had 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Battle had six points.
- Vannessa Garrelts had a career best six assists with five rebounds.
- Kelly McLaughlin had 10 points and eight rebounds.
- Abbey Hoff connected on a pair of three-pointers, finishing the contest with eight points and five rebounds.
