Miami Hosts Kent State Saturday

Saturday's game tips off at 2 p.m. and is camper reunion and autograph day.

ON TAP: Miami (8-8, 1-3 MAC) returns home to host Kent State on Saturday for camper reunion and autograph day. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. Fans can listen to the game on The Miami Sports Network from Van Wagner and watch on ESPN3.

CAMPER REUNION/AUTOGRAPH DAY: The Miami women's basketball program welcomes all campers to the game. Campers and all fans are welcome to join in the fan tunnel before the game and stay after the game for an autograph session on the court.

LAST TIME OUT: Miami could not overcome a slow start at Eastern Michigan on Wednesday and dropped an 80-53 decision to fall to 1-3 in Mid-American Conference play. The Eagles held the lead for the duration of the game after shooting 66.7 percent from the floor in the first quarter. Peyton Scott led Miami's offense with 14 points while Savannah Kluesner collected seven boards.
 
ABOUT KENT STATE: The Golden Flashes hold an even 2-2 record in conference play and a 9-6 overall record this season. Kent State beat Northern Illinois by a 79-71 margin on Wednesday, winning its second-straight MAC contest after starting 0-2. Four KSU players reached double figures with Asiah Dingle recording a 20-point game. Hannah Young led the team with eighth rebounds. All five of Kent State's starters are averaging double figures this season. Nila Blackford leads the pack with 13.9 points per game and also leads the team with 7.2 rebounds per game.
 
SERIES WITH THE GOLDEN FLASHES:
Miami has the 46-45 edge in the all-time series with Kent State. Each team won its home game last season with Miami coming away with the 79-63 victory before the Golden Flashes ended the RedHawks' win streak with a 67-58 win late in the season. In the RedHawks' win, Miami had four players reach double figures as Kluesner and Lauren Dickerson led the team with 19 points apiece.

LOOKING AHEAD: Miami is back on the road for the next two games, beginning on Wednesday at Akron. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
