LAST TIME OUT: The RedHawks fell in a close match at Central Michigan by a 76-70 margin after being tied early in the fourth quarter and leading much of the first half.
Savannah Kluesner led the Miami squad with 23 points and 10 rebounds to record her eighth double-double of the season.
Lauren Dickerson had 15 points and
Peyton Scott put up 12. The same three players are averaging double figures on the season with Dickerson leading the way (16.6 points per game). Kluesner continues to lead the RedHawks with 8.8 rebounds per game which ranks third in the conference.
ABOUT EASTERN MICHIGAN: The Eagles hold an even 7-7 overall record this season and are 2-1 in conference play after dropping their most recent game. On Saturday, EMU fell at Ball State by a 59-54 margin after leading through three quarters of play. The Eagles shot 25 percent from the floor and 48 percent from the charity stripe during the game but forced the Cardinals to shoot just 35 percent from the floor. Areanna Combs led Eastern Michigan with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Combs also leads the Eagles' offense this season with 19.6 points per game. Autumn Hudson leads EMU with 6.1 rebounds per game.
SERIES WITH THE EAGLES: Miami leads the all-time series 42-19 and has the 21-9 lead in Ypsilanti. On February 6, 2019, the RedHawks won by a 63-58 margin in Oxford after rallying from a seven-point deficit at halftime.
Kristen Levering registered the first 20-point game of her career while Lauren
Dickerson and
Kendall McCoy reached double figures with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
