AURORA, Ohio – The RedHawks will begin postseason play this Friday at the 2019 MAC Men's Golf Championships. Miami is looking to win this weekend and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals May 13-15.
"I have a good feeling about this group," said head coach Zac Zedrick. "The guys have earned the privilege to go have fun, compete hard for four rounds, and just see what happens."
The tournament will be held at Club Walden, a 7,203-yard par-72 course. This is the first time in conference history that Club Walden will host the MAC Championships. Competing against Miami will be Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, and Toledo.
Miami will continue with their lineup of redshirt senior Brian Ohr, junior Cam Solomon, sophomore Charlie Nikitas, sophomore Jack Mortell, and freshman Jack Ebner. Junior Jack Katarincic will go as Miami's sixth man and can be substituted into the lineup in between any round.
The tournament will include four rounds being played over three days. Teams will play two rounds beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. The third and fourth rounds will be played Saturday and Sunday with both rounds starting at 8:30 a.m.
