
Golf in 12th After Day One of Colleton River Collegiate

BLUFFTON, S.C. – After the first two rounds of the Colleton River Collegiate, Miami University is in 12th place at 23-over par. The RedHawks shot a 20-over par 308 in the first round and came back with a 3-over par in the second round. The current team leader is Michigan State at 13-under par.
Sophomore Charlie Nikitas is Miami's top individual performer through the first two rounds. Nikitas shot an even par first round of 72 and followed it up with a round of 71. He is tied for 14th at one-under par while the current leader is Donnie Trosper of Michigan State at eight-under par.
Sophomore Jack Mortell is currently tied for 47th place after shooting rounds of 77 and 74. Junior Jack Katarincic shot an 80 in round one and a one-over 73 in round two putting him in a tie for 62nd at nine-over par. One stroke behind Katarincic in a tie for 64th is redshirt senior Brian Ohr who shot rounds of 79 and 75. After shooting rounds of 81 and 74, freshman Jack Ebner is tied for 68th at 11-over par.
Redshirt junior JD Fletcher is competing as an individual for Miami and is tied for 78th at 16-over par. Fletcher shot an 85 in round one and a 75 in round two.
The RedHawks will begin round three at 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
