BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Back on the road for the first time in a few weeks, the Miami women's tennis team found the Indiana Hoosiers to be too much to handle on Saturday as the RedHawks fell 4-0.

Miami slips to 2-7 with the loss, while the Hoosiers jump to 9-5.

IU would start the match with a point in the doubles session after their teams of Whalen/Bernard and McKamey/Henry won by identical 6-2 scorelines. The match at first doubles featuring Miami's Milana Lysova and Priyana Kalita was left in a 4-4 stalemate.

Indiana would carry their momentum into singles, quickly adding on to their lead. The Hoosers' Natalie Whalen won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles, and her teammates Caitlin Bernard and Jelly Bozovic would follow suit to clinch the 4-0 win for IU. The other three singles matches were left abandoned.

In those other three matches, Kalita jumped out to a one set led and was knotted at 4-4 in the second. Makenzie Myers bounced back from a tough first set to force a third, and Brindtha Ramasamy was looking to do the same up at first singles.

Miami will head to the Sunshine State next weekend, taking off to Orlando to play University of Central Florida on Friday, March 8. The 'Hawks will stay in Orlando to face Penn on Saturday.
